Every
second 3 Barbie dolls are sold somewhere in the world. "Barbie
Millicent Roberts" was the full name that was given to the
Barbie doll. She is from Willows, Wisconsin and went to Willows High
School. Midge doll was introduced as Barbie doll's best friend in
1963, and then again in 1988 as California Midge. The first Barbie
doll sold for $3.00.
Barbie doll has five
sisters, Skipper, introduced in 1964, Tutti, a twin
introduced in 1966, Stacie in 1992, Kelly in 1995 and Krissy
in 1999.
On December 1, 1995 the Liberty
Art Gallery of the World Financial Center in downtown
Manhattan exhibited "Art, Design and Barbie: The Evolution
of a Cultural Icon." The exhibition featured works by more
